Burning Man Project is collaborating with Google on the process of bringing five new public artworks to the Charleston East plaza in Mountain View, California — the home of a new Google building in North Bayshore that will open in 2020.
This website, which was open until October 7th, offered the opportunity for the community to provide input on the semi-finalist artworks. Of these, artworks, one Anchor artwork and four additional artworks will be chosen to inspire curiosity, delight, and surprise for all who find themselves visiting the Charleston East plaza, and Mountain View’s Shoreline area.
We thank those of you who gave us input about the works you preferred.
It was important for us to hear the thoughts and voices of the community — an intrinsic part of making the Charleston East Plaza a home for all who gather there.
This webpage was part of a series of community engagement opportunities to bring many voices into the art selection process. We look forward to sharing the final results with you soon!
